Elvis-a-rama Las Vegas
While the Liberace Museum is a campy, fun recollection of its star, the Elvis-a-rama has a far more serious tone. The amount of memorabilia is amazing: love letters, clothing, credit card, guns, and his social security card. There is the requisite display of automobiles and even a speedboat. This is not the place to find a complete narrative of Elvis Presley's life. The caretakers assume (probably correctly) the most people know who the entertainer was and are somewhat acquainted with the details of his life and the personalities who filled it. This is the place to get a brief peek into "the King's" personal life and belongings. There is, by the way, scarcely a mention about his death and the personal problems which seem to have accelerated it. When you tire of the hordes of Elvis impersonators in Vegas, this place will give you a chance to connect, at some level, with the real one.
