MGM Lion Habitat Las Vegas
The MGM Grand Hotel features up to 5 lions a day at their multi-level glass enclosure. This spot is a favorite of children and families, and makes for a great photo opportunity. If you have seen lions in the zoo, then you know they generally spend a good portion of their day sleeping, but not here. This is a non-stop lion show. The big cats are rotated into the habitat for a 6-hour shift, and then they are returned to an open range for a 2-day vacation before being returned to the casino. That ensures that they have plenty of open space and lots of energy. While they are in the habitat, trainers keep them busy playing with one another and performing to the delight of the guests. From time to time several young ones are brought in at the same time and their playfulness makes for some enjoyable entertainment. Stop by anytime. The habitat is free and open to the general public.
