Treasure Island Las Vegas
Las Vegas may be in the middle of the desert of the American southwest, but to the pirates who roam Buccaneer Bay that hardly seems important. In the continuing tradition of elaborate devices to draw attention to their casinos, Treasure Island has built a watery stage on which to produce a daily outdoor drama every 90 minutes. This is an old-fashioned battle on the high seas, complete with special effects and music.

Since this is Las Vegas, the pirates do battle against beautiful and alluring Sirens, who are doing their best to seduce them. At first the Pirates fight back - literally. In the course of the battle the ship is set ablaze and actually sinks into the bay while the Pirates jump overboard into the waiting arms of the Sirens. This show has something for everyone: action, drama, special effects and sensuality. The fact that the crowd begins to show up an hour before the "battle" is a testimony to the popularity of this attraction. There is no charge.
