Tropicana Resort and Casino Las Vegas Review
Tropicana Resort and Casino
3801 Las Vegas Blvd. S
Las Vegas, Nevada

For decades the Tropicana has been synonymous with Las Vegas. It was one of the first of the large resort hotels on the strip and although it has now been dwarfed by the larger resorts that have sprung up around it, the Tropicana remains a Las Vegas institution. Because of its age, some great deals can be found here and since it is so centrally located you can easily avail yourself of the shows, restaurants, clubs and casinos that are located up and down the strip.

Entertainment has always been a big part of the Tropicana. Today you can see Follies Bergere, the Tropicana Bird Show, the Rick Thomas magic show and a host of comedians in the comedy stop. One of the best shows is free! Four times a day an energetic, acrobatic show - Air Play - takes place high above the casino floor. All four shows are different, so be sure to ask about various show times.

Like most Vegas resorts, the Tropicana has swimming pools. However, unlike most other hotels, those at the Tropicana are open 24 hours a day, providing a great escape to the desert heat.

The rooms show their age a bit, but they are clean and comfortable and the staff works very hard to respond to every question and request.
